Meaning Of The Lion Of Judah

"Lion" in the positive sense means Divine Truth in Power! That's why Christ is called "The Lion of the tribe of Judah." When the prophet Daniel saw a lion emerging from the sea, he saw the symbolic representation of the New Age in which the Divine Truth of the Word is preparing to conquer a new spiritual territory.

The Lion denotes the no-fear of one who is imbued with Divine Truth ...Those who are with the divine truths of the Word are like lions even if they have more physical strength than a ram. Candidates successfully passing the ancient Mithraic initiations were called "lions" and were marked on the forehead with the Egyptian cross  
(Ankh). At the same Mithras is depicted often with the head of a lion and two pairs of wings.
